Matching colours

Black and red is one of the best combination of colours, it works with clothes and it works on bikes.

Mother & daughter

In the spirit of mothersday we wanted to present you this beautiful mother and daughter. We met them at the starting event of Met Belgerinkel naar de Winkel in Mechelen, and had a lovely little chat with them.
Parenthood is all about setting an example for your children. That obviously also goes for showing them the fun and advantages of riding your bike and being cycle chic.
Look how precious the little girl looks:

And here’s another photo of her mother. One of the most cycle chic ladies we’ve seen so far, with style to spare.

Bicycle Team
Posted by Stefan | Filed under Mechelen, Public Service Announcement
Flanders now officially has one. And no, I’m not talking about a racing team. What we have is a bicycle team to focus on bicycle infrastructure and bike lanes in the region of Flanders.
Between now and 2014, the Bicycle Team will spend 100 million euros on about 200 infrastructure projects.
Let’s get a move on, I say.
You can read all about it in De Standaard or on De Redactie (in Dutch).
Meanwhile the cool kids keep on riding.

You want men?

Here’s a real working example I found in our mailbox: worn jeans, black boots, thick woolen sweater and a blue cap. They don’t come more authentic than this.
Classic, no-nonsense working man’s bike to go. In Facebook terms: we like.

And here we have a younger, bit more modern and refined version of the above. With postman bag, of course.
